Dispute Resolution

How we handle disagreements between users.

Last updated: March 2026

1. Our Commitment

Build a Hive is committed to providing a fair and transparent dispute resolution process for all users. We understand that disagreements can arise, and we are here to help resolve them quickly and fairly.

2. Step 1 — Direct Resolution

Before involving Build a Hive, we encourage clients and freelancers to attempt to resolve disputes directly. Most issues can be resolved through open communication. Use our messaging system to discuss the issue and try to reach a mutually acceptable solution.

3. Step 2 — Mediation Request

If direct resolution fails, either party may submit a mediation request through their account dashboard. Include a clear description of the dispute, evidence supporting your position (messages, files, screenshots), and your proposed resolution. Both parties will be notified of the mediation request.

4. Step 3 — Review Process

Our dispute resolution team will review all submitted evidence within 5-7 business days. Both parties will have the opportunity to present their case and respond to the other party's claims. We may request additional information from either party.

5. Decision

After reviewing all evidence, our team will issue a binding decision. This may include a full or partial refund to the client, full or partial payment to the freelancer, or a combination thereof. Our decision is final and both parties agree to be bound by it.

6. Escrow & Funds

While a dispute is under review, all funds related to the disputed project will remain in escrow. Funds will only be released once the dispute has been resolved. Neither party can access the funds during the review period.

7. Contact

To submit a dispute, log into your account and go to My Account → Disputes. For urgent matters, email buildahivesupport@gmail.com
